This video is a really neat example of one of the really cool things that Smartboards are able to do in aiding classroom instruction. The below video is a demonstration on how you are able to dissect a frog by only using the Smartboard no live specimens needed. I think this is really a good alternative for students who need to perform dissections for a grade without having to actually cut into a real animal.

I would have loved to have a smartboard in high school so that I didn’t have to disect bugs and small animals! It would have been much more educational (b/c I wouldn’t be concentrating on NOT vomiting the entire time) and enjoyable for me and many others (who agree) in high school. Smartboards are one of the best new technologies used in the classroom and their benefits are endless.

I did field work for TLC I in a classroom with a smartboard. It was great to see how excited the children were to do work when it involved the smartboard. They loved it!! They were much more enthusiastic about doing math because their lesson was involved with the use of a smart board. I can’t wait to use one in my classroom!!!!
